Google has launched its "Onsite Advertiser Sign-Up," which adds an "Advertise on this site" link to the ads that AdSense publishers display on their sites, encouraging advertisers to deploy campaigns on those sites, writes ClickZ. The feature was first tested in September. The new feature comes as Yahoo Publisher Network begins to compete in earnest with AdSense.
Potential advertisers who click on the "Advertise" link are taken to a Google-hosted and publisher-customized page that lets advertisers sign up for a new AdWords account - or add a campaign to an existing account - targeting that publisher's site.
